Hi, I'm Dany!

As a kid, my grandmother collected old and broken cameras because they were my favorite thing to play with. I loved everything about pictures and how they captured a moment in time.

I received my first film SLR for Christmas when I was 14 and immediately began taking pictures in the woods behind my house.

After I moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 2012, I found a professional photographer looking for an assistant. I jumped at the chance to make all those years of playing and pretending to be a photographer become truth. I bought an old second-hand Canon 5d and shot anything that would sit still (or not). When my mentor moved away after a year, I decided it was time to upgrade my gear and start Danielle White Photography.

I have since moved to the PNW, which has inspired me since the first moment I laid eyes on it. I shoot on location all around the Portland metro area and am working on renovating and opening my own natural light photography studio set in the heart of old-growth forest land, with peek-a-boo views of Mt. Hood.

When I’m not shooting, editing, or researching, I spend my time with my husband and furbabies, belly dancing, or working on my custom line of clothing and accessories.
